free to anyone who can collect it.
it's galvanised wire rope, one end is eyed the other is tapered.
i would guess it's 20m long, but i'm not unwinding it to mesure it.
eye has a SWL of 3 tonn, no idea on the cable, but it's obviously more than 3tonns.
free to who ever can get it.
Looks like a Tirfor winch cable...

Ideal for pulling off gates...
I'll have it if nobody else wants it Dan. Where is it?
Thats exactly what it's off, but it's 6 months old now so it cant be hired out any more, hence it was heading for the big yellow (the skip)
crazy will have it , he uses those tirfors in work, got any old tirfors going as well
why the fok is it 20mm cable ????? - i am sure my tirfar was only 12mm - just put a snatch block on it foe 2:1 - and if it dont move then - extreme measires needed :P
edit to add - i just ` happen to have ` - 2 wire strops [ eyes both ends ] - 5m long , SWL = 3ton - they were aquired for a " special project " - but unfortunatly they were bought from an idiot who didnt know the difference between breaking load and SWL
so i was expecting 3 ton breaking strain and got 3t SWL - which obviously meant i couldnt just coil them ip - bungee them to my tackle sack - and go do my mission
they are still sat in a corner 3 years later - any offeres ??
the tirfors go to auction, but we cant sell slings, strops, ropes or chains, so they go to scrap (even unused ones)
this is at my house, Manchester M44, Just outside warrington.. i aint putting it in my Golf, so if anyone wants it, they will have to come and get it, (or ask andy to bring it on a trip, but it's heavy)
