Title: NWCRO Fundraising.
Post by: Robin Jones on May 16, 2013, 03:14 PM
As some of you may be aware, I run 3 separate mail order businesses, 2 of which I donate a small percentage of the profits to charity.

I am currently rebuilding 2 of the websites and have reviewed the provider who handles the donations (Mission Fish).  I have decided that 'Paypal Giving' is a much better method of working out the donation and paying it over to the charity.

For reason's I don't really wish to discuss on a public forum, I have ceased donating to one of the charities with immediate effect.  Therefore I thought it may be appropriate to contribute to North Wales Cave Rescue Organisation only to find they they had nothing in place to accept donations of this kind.

I have been liaising with Tim Palmer at NWCRO and I am pleased to inform you all that donations are now possible via 'Paypal Giving' (for website sales) and also via eBay.

I have posted the emails below in a separate post.

Thanks for suggesting that we consider signing up for the PayPal Giving Fund so that we can raise funds from sales on eBay. I have done the necessary paperwork and just await them confirming our account.

I will let you know when it is completed

Regards

Tim

When I joined I said I would liaise at any entrance to any cave but won't enter, but will of course go in any mine should the need arise.

I've emailed the secretary to see if I'm any use to them. I know my way round a box of plasters atleast. I haven't heard anything back yet though.
I don't intend to go near any caves either. 'orrible little wannabe mines....
