Just so everybody is aware. We were down Cabin last Sunday to do the through trip after dropping to the lake. After climbing the internal shaft ( the one John doesn't like) there is a small squeeze which is a side on thrutch to get through. Last weekend this had collapsed and we had to dig through. Please be aware of thisfor any future trips. Also the squeeze after clay cock passage to get to the lake will need quite a bit of clearing to get through - it's about 6 inch square at the moment.
Thanks, Tom. B)
Thanks Tom :)

Is this on the way to the pitch into Grand Turk?
Les, from starting at Cabin shaft you head right (from the main chamber and then after a fair bit of crawling, climbing and squeezing you end up at the base of a shaft with an acro at the top with rope on it. At the top of said climb is a squeeze which is usually awkward for some - this may be a little more awkward now. Eventually, yes you appear through the boulder choke and then up into the final chamber where you can either exit via the blue tube or drop the shaft to Grand turk passage of Ogof Llyn Ddu (I think).
I remember having to dig through here many years back on a trip to Grand Turk. It was the trip when the other entrance was dug open from the inside (we named it the "Great Escape" entrance, if you,ve seen the film you'll know why).
The collapse was mainly mud and came in from the right, I don't know if it is an old infilled shaft or something. After we went through it was apparent that there was plenty more there to run in and it was inevitable that the next trip would need to dig it out again. I guess its not got any better over the years...
That's the one, yes. I have done it many times but never noticed any movement. If it's a recurring feature then it shouldn't be too much of a problem. Wonder where it is coming from though.. interesting :)
Tom
I guess some work and shoring would make a more permanent route...
if you take a good look it is a shaft, just needs a bit of t.l.c . but don't we all
