Hot showers in the camping field B) . Good food and lots of new bolts and ropes.
Ed did good. Was the only ucet member to attend :P . You missed a very good 2 days.
Saw no lectures, can't comment.
Ed said it was a good weekend and literally hundreds of cavers attended.
Sad to have missed it, but there is always next year> Bring on Hidden Earth :)

Thanks for the links and all that info Les.
What a fantastic event.
I assume Derbyshire Caving Club is a lot bigger than UCET. They seem very well organised. I hope to see Alderley Edge mines having read the children's book set there.
Does this happen at about this time every year?
NAMHO Conference happens every year. Next year I believe it is supposed to be in Nenthead. It should be very good...
Also worth a visit, Hidden Earth is the UK's prmier caving conference and Exhibition. This year it is in Burnley...

Next year's conference will be in Aberystwyth from 28 June to 1 July. There are plenty of interesting mines in the area but, last time I heard, the organisers were still looking for a group willing to lead the underground trips.

I'm sure Aberystwyth university would be able to help out? Only problem is, there won't be many students about to lead trips. I do believe that there is some long standing members that reside in the area though.
That said however, I hope it does end up being Nent, as Nent is awesome!
