Brilliant Ian, really was a fantastic trip and loads of fun!
In your words...until next time :-)
Another excellent film of a wonderful day out. I like the music (except the first into piece), and also the 'First person view' which gives a better three dimensional feeling of what the passageways are like. Pity the section along that shelf in the slate mine was not longer. Also I like the real sound of the caves and the sloshing of the water and the dripping.
Nice video :)
Have you done the mine below Crafnant Cafe on the left side of the road (in amongst the quarry area) as heading up? There are a few other holes up there as well on both sides. I used to live up there, and still visit. The main one is gated or was gated...
Hi Claire ....
You've still got an eye on Britain whilst you are learning the Scandanavian ways ;)
I once saw a group of fully clad cavers emerge from the hole by Crafnant - or, more accurately, I saw them by the cottages by the hole. I was stood on the otherside of the lake at the time and when I got round they were gone. I didn't find the hole but did find many signs saying "go away" (well, similar wording). I decided to look it up on-line later.
When I tried to find it on-line I could not. I looked at paper maps and there is nothing marked on the O/S map and I wondered if I had imagined everything
But now, from the shadows, emerges some fresh evidence
Please tell me more :) :) :)
Ian
Great movie Ian and thanks for leading the trip.

May be it was GCC who spotted you in the area and decided to lead you to a hoax cavern.
