Wondering if anyone has a couple of Lamp Brackets I can buy. I have a couple of new (Well, new to me :P ), Lids, and need Brackets for them.
I can paypal you for them, or sort out on a trip.
Cheers,
Miles sells them on his webby caving-gear.co.uk - I think they are a couple of quid each :)

Knew I'd seen them somewhere!
I checked through all my usual places, but nothing... even Bernies and Inglesport either don't sell them, or hide them incredibly well.
EDIT:-
No stock...
Anyone else know of a place to get them, or has some to sell?
Here's a couple:

I was trying to find someone that has a lathe and could machine me a batch.
£5 for a lamp bracket is fairly steep if you ask me, but I haven't been able to find any other option as of yet!

£6.95 inc postage... :-(
Guess I'll have to bite the bullet.

What sort of Lathe have you been using? I think you may find a press a little more useful. I have a mini-lathe and you are happy to try making some on it if you want

Sorry, it's the painkillers! They probably wouldn't be that hard to make using a vice and some mole grips to be honest.

Don't you mean "The Beers" :cheer:

Combination of the two I think :).
Ali, i think on Caving gear, the price is £5 inc postage?
It's free postage from caving-gear
I just make my own.
I fabricated a single unit with mounts my cap lamp and also a GoPro Head Cam clip a single steel piece.
Prior to this I just had a piece of approx 4cm by 1cm by about 3mm thick piece of steel with a hole (about 4mm) drilled at either end, and two matching holes on the helmet and then just use some small nuts and bolts to mount the strip horizontally such that it clamps to cap lamp clip part.
NB: I used some decent sized washers on the inside of the helmet to spread the force across the plastic a bit and i made sure i used pan head bolts with the threads pointing 'out' of the helmet - to reduce the potential for anything entering my brain in the event of a bloody big rock crushing and deforming my helmet.
sketch as follows....
Caving-Gear (Mile from ME), is out of stock.. Check my post above :P

I simply haven't got the tools at my disposal at the moment, or I'd do it in a heartbeat. Hell, I'd do a batch with a simple manual press, and sell them at a small profit. Fairly easy to do... 2 presses, (1 if I bothered to make up a blank to press over), 4 holes, job finished.
I want all my machines & tools back now, but no 3 phase, not to mention no place to put them, sorta puts a crimp in that plan :P

Yeah, sounds good to me. I don't need it drilled, but I have no facilities to cut sheet to size at the moment. If you can bung us a couple of strips, I'll sort out with you when I see you next.

I'm not keen on the Petzl ones, the light ratles round, and I've knocked it off a few times. I did fancy trying the 2-part ones Miles is doing. Not to worry, see above.
