You will need an O/S map â€" the mine is on a bend of a road (marked as a bridleway on the map but it is a tarmac road). There is also a “no entry” gate here which leads to the wind farm on top of the hill.

Description
I could not find this mine when I was there BUT, where I was stood, there appears to be a HUGE mound of spoil (now grassed). I was stood halfway up the bank of a hill above what appeared to be the main spoil heap.

However, when I walked away and looked backwards, I could see spoil heaps “walking”  up the hill which suggested clearly there were other entrances (or that these WERE the entrances). I did not go back because of time constraints.

This may not be the most helpful description I have posted.
