Title: New is not alway best
Post by: John Oh on Sep 16, 2011, 03:53 PM
I did a quick test shot last night in Nadolig Cave last night, one with a modern electric flash and the other with a 1950's flash bulb holder and a old PF6B bulb. The camera was fixed and I shot in Manual mode, so no setting where changed, no a great subject but it was just a test.

First the Electronic Flash

And now the Flash Blub

As you can see the flash bulb is far brighter than the electronic flash, and it gives off an interesting aroma!

Now just need to work out how to set the exposure with out firing to many test shots.

Check your attics, old flash bulbs wanted :)
