Title: Fairy Quarry Caves
Post by: Claire Brimson on Sep 05, 2011, 10:22 PM
I may be able to get a trip or two down Shatter cave.  It is a leader only cave of 4:1.

This is just a feeler.  Is anyone interested???  Its very beautiful with crystal water lillies in pools, large calcite crystals, calcite waterfalls etc.  Its a short trip but there is also fairy into Hilwithy (I think thats the one) which should be open.  Shatter is a very low crawl up through a pipe entrance but then opens out,  It is not wet.  Ive done it twice, its very pretty.

12/13th November would be good for me....

Would be thinking of dragging my SLR tripod flashes etc in an trying to put into practice some of what i learnt at the weekend - how longs it typically take to reach the pretty stuff?

Is it suitable for us newbies? Sounds great!
