I have received a periodical from the BCA which includes an article regarding the caves in the Yorkshire Dales.
As you are aware, some caves are subject to access requirements (permits) controlled by the CNCC. It has been reported that some clubs and some individuals are ignoring this requirement and this is causing access problems with landowners.
For full details, please see www.cncc.org.uk
I am, of course, aware that we (as a club) don’t do a great deal of caving and that when we do both Mick and Guy go to lengths to obtain permits. I am also aware that none of our members undertake private trips.
The article is for information only.

Also included in the article was mention that unauthorised access may have "insurance implications" although there was nothing more specific than that stated.
