Description
A mine from the early 1800’s.
There are several entrances but due to adverse weather, I was only able to find one on the visit. The one I found was over deep knee in loose oche at the entrance and over knee deep in THICK oche further in.
The passage goes in around 100 feet and comes to a crossroad. Turning left is dead almost immediately. Turning right, there is a flooded shaft immediately which is planked across BUT the wood is extremely rotten and it is impassable. The passage continues beyond but MAY be dead (I couldn’t tell).
Going straight across the crossroad, the passage is thick with oche over knee depth but gives way after around another 100 feet with some oche “pretties†well formed.
Unexplored Passages
1) Past the impassable flooded shaft
2) The other mapped level which I didn’t find
