Hello All,


Here are the details for our next Thursday night trip


Garreg Boeth (Non-SRT)

Suitable for novices, this is a Crawley/stopping trip along the geologically wonderful passage of Garreg Boeth. You will first see Crinoids (if you don’t rush past them), then interesting geological bands, then the sunken pit of “Stig of the dump”. Beyond that are the sunken volcanoes of Atlantis. You will miss the underwater volcanoes unless the front person has the presence of mind to travel carefully through the water and not rake up a deluge of silt (and keep an eye open for them). Beyond all this you will be treated to just below waist deep water and the final passage to the ground dropped shaft at the end.


Location : Garreg Boeth

Meet Place : Hendre

Meet Date : Thursday 9th November 2023

Meet Time : 6:30pm-6:45pm onwards

Requirements : Wellies, overalls, helmet, lamp, glove,

I wouldn't say it's a wander, more like, lots of crawling and stooping.
Any how, I'll be there  :)

Sounds great but I've just seen Gareths comment about lots of stooping and crawling so will wait and see how my ribs are by then, they're taking a long time to heal after the slip a few weeks ago at Nadolig

Coming in hope of the crinoids!

I'm up for this one please  :)
