Ime John 31 from mold

I've found a couple of pot holes, then went down them and loved it all . Then I went on to find more and a bit more what I'd call extra ones, and I think I've now got the bug for more .

So now ime looking at joining one of the trip out I don't have any equipment but I do have a lot of head touches and now what I call caving cloths only because the miss doesn't want them going in the washing machine and wellies. I will be getting a helmet.

Hi and welcome to the bulletin board.

Equipment can be loaned as long as you let the organiser know that you will be attending and what equipment you need.
Most trips are open to all (private ones won't be in the public bulletin board area) and required equipment for each is detailed.

Newcomers and prospective members are very welcome and encouraged to come along on a couple of trips. There are no charges to 'sample' what the club offers.

Hi John,

the trip that ILT has linked for you is ideal for you - no special equipment needed, you will just need a lid (helmet) with a lamp which we can loan you.

The "charges" are two things;

1) BCA Insurance. That's British Caving Association - it's required for every caver in every club in the UK and is £20 per year (pro-rata to what is left of the year so it will be £10 right now)

2) Club Subs - also £20 per year and also pro-rata

You can have three sample trips (or 17 days whichever comes first on the club's insurance) to see if you like it :)
