Here are the details for our next Thursday night trip;

Spar Mine â€" Beyond the Flooded Zone
So, the water level on the lower level has dropped to “acceptable” and the lower mine series is now accessible. This happened ONCE in 2011 and a few of us were lucky enough to get in to see the lost workings.

There is at least double the amount of mine to see in the lower level with lots of interesting bits to pique your cheeks.

It may be that access to this level will be short-lived so grab the opportunity while you can. It may not come around again.

You are definitely going to get wet. The water level will be between waist-chest depth at the entry point to the lower workings but then quickly becomes dry. Bring a change of clothes and a towel.

Meet Place : Car Park opposite the Oak Inn
Meet Date : Thursday 20th October 2022
Meet Time : 6:30pm-6:45pm onwards
Requirements : Wellies, overalls, helmet, lamp, gloves, Change of clothes, towel
