United Cavers Exploration Team

Hi all,
I just wanted to say hello and introduce myself as possibly the newest, and most inexperienced, member!

I have finally taken the plunge and joined UCET having been interested in caving for many years. I live in Coedpoeth and growing up around here I have always been fascinated with Minera lead mines and the other local caves but I have never managed to get down any… With the exception of the Wedding Cave in Nant y Ffrith but my 9 year old son and pet dog have been in there also so it isn’t much of an accomplishment!!

I am on the look out now for any kit suitable for a novice like me. If anyone has anything for sale then please get in touch and hopefully I will get out with everyone soon enough.

There’s a trip in minera this week.all you will need to start off is a pair of overalls and wellies,we can loan you lid and lamp for now. And welcome to the dark side

I’ll bet! I will always be humble and honest about my inability! I’m looking forward to seeing some interested places on the dark side though.
