Pinched that photo from Facebook. It's a cave in Belgium. When I saw it, it took me a nano second to decide I probably never would go in there and only a full second to reason out why ....
I feel I should say no, but I can't find a reason in that photo not to..
All need is a good pair of knee pads
Nothing to do with knees ....
Tom's inner self seems to be locking onto the reason ....
Is it because it's a dry streamway or because batman took the photo
What is it about the streamway ?
Is it because you're unlikely to visit Belgium and cave? Especially if it's a crawling job..
There's no water when this photo was taken
The "problem" would exist for all of us in equal measure.
The fact that there is no water there is a factor ....
so, would "you" be comfortable going through there? (you shouldn't be)
I will just spit it out if you like
If I had to guess, which i don't have to it's probably got somthing to so with the erosion on the walls, suggestive of turbulence and therefore sudden and rapid flow of water perhaps.
Very close Ant.
So, the first thing is that it is a streamway.
Then you notice that the pebbles are wet. So it is an ACTIVE streamway
Then you notice the SIZE of the pebbles - that's a fair old flow/speed of water
Then you notice there is NO tidemark so the rascal clearly FILLS up
If you are in there when it decides to take water, I think you're goosed.
So, I wouldn't go in.
or the water never leaves the pebbled area(the dark area). the rocks in poachers are bigger ,just saying
Such a small, weak flow could not have caused them to move to their resting places and there is no tide mark ....
