Howdy Doody,
Here are the details for our next Thursday night trip;
Penarth Slate Mine
This is the little brother to the mighty Slate mine of Moel Fferna and contains the same magnificent seabed ceiling (a wonderful example of petrification) as well as a splendid circuit of chambers. Easy to navigate, this sumptuous underground delight is on two levels and contains one of the most photographed slate inclines in North Wales (see the forum link or the facebook page)
Location : Penarth Slate Mine
Meet Place : A5 near Llidiart y Parc
Meet Date : Thursday 18th November 2021
Meet Time : 6:30pm-6:45pm
Suitability : Suitable for Novices
Requirements : Wellies, overalls, helmet, lamp, gloves.

Notes : This mine has suffered a lot from graffiti vandalism. It has been suggested that you might like to bring a wire brush to assist in the removal of this paint. That’s a choice for you ….
