Title: Slideshow
Post by: Doug Thompson on Jun 08, 2020, 07:21 PM
Is anybody interested in a slideshow of a trip to Everest base camp which I did in 2008, I was thinking of doing it on the zoom meeting perhaps instead of the Queeze, let me know what you think.

Love to see it but I am at work at 20:30 this Thursday. Will be available Thursday the 9th July and hopefully I will be able to come over to Wales then.

I intend to have another go at this Thurs, failed last week due to screen sharing not available however, there were only three of us anyway.

On last weeks zoom caving, a few of us were discussing whether to have another slide show, I said at the time that I didn't have digital pictures from the Kilimanjaro trip as I only had a film camera then   but I said I could do a slide show on the Borneo jungle trek and caves.
I now find that I was mistaken, I was getting confused with the Usbekistan trip, which was before I was digitally equipped.
So therefore, I could in fact do a slide show on climbing Kilimanjaro or Borneo jungle trek if anyone fancies it.
I know there is a Quiz organised for next week so some time after that perhaps.

damnit. only just picked this up....to late I assume. Zoom is entirely licked for me offshore. need someone else to start paying the monthly fee rather than me so they can set it up when I'm not here!

Sorry I had to keep it short last night as I was out on my boat.  Mind you the technology seemed to work okay with the wi-fi tethering and laptop powered of my mini-inverter.  My next Thursday off will be the 15th of August but I hope to get over to the Glan as soon as they re-open and are able to welcome visitors from England.

We were a bit thin on the ground last couple of meetings, is no one interested anymore.

I'm afraid we've found ourselves working hard on the house in preparation for return to normality. Definitely interested in these talks though. The DCC did a Monday night talk for things like this, the club has plenty to talk about, could this be a thing for UCET?

For anyone interested, the rate is £11.99 a month per host.

So work out how many hosts you would like to have.

I think people will become interested when proper trips start again.
