This week’s trip is to Belgrave mine near Llanfferres.
This is a nice little lead mine with a few areas to explore and for the more geologically minded, a nice slab of marble.
Walk in â€" Walk out, just a touch of crawling
If I can get some leaders for a 2nd SRT trip them we can also accommodate an SRT trip between levels â€" entering on level 3, SRT down to level 1 and quick climb out through level 2 (Obviously SRT kit required here). Any volunteers to lead this? Please shout up
Location: Belgrave
Meet time: 6:30-6.45pm
Meet point: Large layby on A494 Ruthin road between Llanffferres village and Llanarmon-yn-lal junction (www.google.co.uk/maps/@53.1295283,-3.216...7i13312!8i6656?hl=en)
Equipment needed: Helmet and lamp, overalls/old clothes/caving suit, wellies/boots, gloves. SRT kit if SRT trip goes ahead.
Notes: Suitable for novices and first timers. We also recommended a change of clothes if you are messy
It would be useful to know who’s coming along so if you can pop a message on the forum, facebook or reply that would be great.
Thanks
Vikki
