Hi All
Here’s the details for this weeks trip

Meet Date : Thursday 12th September 2019
Meet Time : 6.45pm
Requirements : Wellies, overalls, helmet, lamp â€" kneepads a good idea if you have them.
Notes: Tom has kindly offered to lead a trip around this cave. It’s not a massive cave but not one we’ve done before and interesting nonetheless. There’s no SRT but it can get muddy so change of clothes a good idea.
It would be really handy to know if you are coming (no worries if you aren’t or don’t know).
Thanks
Vikki
Layby looks a little small ;)
It's a car park .... wait till you see the cave entrance lol :woohoo:

Bet you can still just walk in though
I'll be out and will give a lift if anyone wants one.

Wirral Caving Group did a trip here (I did it twice) in 2011 see:
http://www.wirralcavinggroup.org.uk/trips/cefnygist.html
Binks passage is quite pretty and worth the effort, but the entrance series is low and wet so you WILL need a full change of clothes. As noted in my description don't leave anything valuable on the ledges of the main passage as they will fall off into inaccessible areas! The entrance series is a bit unstable so try not to press on the walls and ceiling!
The water that sinks here reappears in Ogof Llyn Du (Ragman passage) in Minera quarry, hence the interest in this cave as it must lead to an extensive set of passages. Unfortunately the limestone is weak and when NWCC tried to expand the passage downward with s lot of Dr Nobel's linctus it brought the roof down :-)
Binks passage slopes up towards the surface so a bit of digging would provide easier access (or a through trip) - my guess is that this hasn't been done to protect the formations.
This is a rarely visited cave!
Not sure if I will be out this week - up in Scotland at present...
Dave
i'll be out if i can find my caving gear - its been a while! :-D

Well this hole won't dig itself and winter is coming.
We don't want to lose the whole dig when the weather comes in.
Working tonight and next Thursday. Definitely up for a trip in two weeks time just before Hidden Earth.
So nobody has posted anything up about this trip.
Did it not happen or was it so bad that people are too traumatised to mention it ever again?

[/quote]Mike,Tom,Steve and my self went. I got no gopro footage because I didn't turn it on before going in. Great little cave loads of crawls and plenty of mud. Fun and sporty would be the words I would use.
Steve Kennedy took some GoPro footage but is probably too traumatized to put the video up.
Hadn't been in for 10-12 year's and probably won't Go for another 12years
Thought that smell was from sheep washing and craping in the water.
