Hi folks,
Apologies for late posting this week (been tail chasing).

Alyn sink ?
I'll head to Doug's as he needs a few bodies there this week.
Trying to get cover, other wise will be working.
Alyn sink gets my vote but I might not be out. Had a death in the family so will see how it goes
Sorry to hear that the news Mike.
Alyn sink hole and Doug's it is. If I get chance, I will phone the ranger tomorrow (Monday). Be interesting to see the development with the gated sinkhole.
I will be able to make it early on Thursday. On holiday this week.
I have spoken to the ranger at loggerheads and he is more than happy for us to have a look and report back. I will arrange key collection on Wednesday with him.
Guys,
There is a key next to my shed on my front drive.
50m from where you'll be parking.
walk onto my drive, you'll see my front shed. look to the lift hand side and you'll see a T bar with a special socket welded to it. Sitting on the little concrete cap thing next to the two kids sledges.
thats okay if neddy has not informed the ranger as you are still in the bat season and if you get seen you will lose access so make sure the ranger
has not been informed,mick

Murph, I have spoken with the ranger at loggerheads and he will be very grateful if we can shed any more light on what is happening as it will assist him in his role while he figures out the best way of dealing with it for all parties concerned including general public and bats.
I will come over as soon as i have finished putting the platform in the shaft at Bryn Celyn just the timber to put in will start at 2.0.pm should be done by 4.0pm then i will call over.mick
I am hoping to be out. Trying to swap shifts and have also requested the day off too.
I'll defo be out tomorrow. Will be going Alyn sink.

Alyn sink sounds good.
IMPORTANT UPDATE ON ALYN SINKHOLE.
I have had a call from the ranger of loggerheads this afternoon and unfortunately he cannot guarantee we will have access to the gated sinkhole as he had to run it past the Bat Conservation group and NRW due to the sensitivity of the area. On Monday, he did not envisige this been any problem as the weather has been mild and we are on the back end of bat season. To enter the gated one, we will need a licence which takes time but the ranger is hopeful he can get an emergency access licence but this cannot be guaranteed.
The ranger does apologise for this inconvenience and he is as frustrated by the loopholes as us but it is not worth the risk for him or us by-passing the bat people or NRW.
Both the ranger and Denbighshire Countryside services/environment dept. are very grateful for our assistance and whilst we may not get access to the gated sinkhole, we have permission to look inside the barriered area of the new sinkhole as it has dropped again slighty since Monday (rangers words) and he is very grateful of any light we can shed on the subject.
Please be patient on this one folks, the ranger is trying his hardest with the relevant groups and parties he needs to deal with.
