Hi Folks,

Ian
Going So Far :
Dave T
Les W
Ian A
Jason + 1
Joel & Emily (definite maybes - confirmed as going 13/8/18 B) )
Dave F
Jodie C
Vikki (maybe)
I am a definite maybe...
How far are you planning on pushing the mine? I might break off and check the route up to Cyffty beyond the neck deep slime.
I’m likely to be with Emily
Dave T is running the trip, I guess he will spot your query and post a reply soon enough.
I "think" we are going to the end of the level and not dropping down to kneebones.
Come anyway dude, it's been ages
Ian
Works for me :)
Will be there
The aim is to travel to the far end of level 2 and up the raise to Cwffty East visiting areas of interest on the way and then head out. If people want to visit level 3 outbye the collapse in the principal lode using the ladderway near the Bidston experimental area then I can take a rope - you will need SRT gear and this will add another 2-3 hours to the trip.
If people want to visit Cwffty West by dropping down the far ladder-way down to level 3 inbye the collapse in the principal lode then that's fine by me - but set your own callout as I won't be joining you... Wetsuit recommended and if water levels are very high a snorkel would be useful :) It's over 8 years since I did the trip with Roy and Jason up into Cwffty West via that route and I used a furry suit. I was really glad to get back to the car and get some hot soup in me as I was freezing...
Dave
I think I'm off work this day so should be able to make it. Will confirm tomorrow
Anyone thought of doing crtt
Yes, but .... the trip is for two people coming up from the South. We don't want to kill them do we Captain.
Anyway, this is a good trip :P
Ian
Sounds like it will be a good day but unfortunately I will be working that Friday. Available this Thursday the 16th though.

It's not that bad, just over knee deep for us tall blokes (well maybe it is up to my wedding tackle, but it's still not that bad...)

Neck deep for Ian then
It is neck deep and I seem to think there was a nice section of claggy goo ..... :S

Last time I did it there was no claggy goo. The water is a little bit orange though.
It's not that deep if you pick your route carefully but I can see how Ian would find it more of an issue...
There is a lot of stuff down at the lower level to look at and the abseil out of the Ore Chute is good fun too...
Lol please don't kill us! Altho we have done some pretty hardcore trips in mendip, derby and france!

Which has been done by more members more times than they have probably buttered their toast for breakfast :P. Albeit a classic trip.
Neck deep ochre through to Cwyfty however? It's like buttering your toast with chilli!
